I went to my hometown and of course went to a bar/lounge that I was not even aware of its existance until two days ago. This place was a complete hole in the wall and if you know me you would also know that that sort of place in just up my alley...just what I needed. I got a vodka tonic with lime, Perfectly the biggest that I have ever had, twice as much...awesome! The best part was that it was 4.50. In malibu you can't get ice for 4.50. Anyway, we put some tunes on the jukebox, what better music than country, Sheryl Crow, and Lynard Skynard? As the songs are playing an guy who was probably 75, skinny, scruffy white hair and of course very intoxicated asks me to dance. I don't dance, seriously, but for ole' Butter I thought that it was a good time. Butter apparently loves to dance so he says and we glided along to the music. Dancing with ole' Butter completely made my day for some reason, just a nice, well-meaning, old man who wanted to dance with a "pretty girl". Moments like that I think make life so interesting.
Other than that life has been way slow, the couch has pretty much been my dwelling for the past week and hopefully I will get off of it soon. I have an interview today with the YMCA and one Monday in Springfield. I might have a little something up my sleeve though and yesterday I started looking up jobs in other countries and what do you know there were tons, so maybe in a few months I will be leading tours across some jungle in Brazil or Peru who knows. I think 6-7 months in MO will do me fine, but after that I am ready to be off to do something else. What can I say I am not a stay-in-one-place type of girl. I am a 3 months here 3 months there type of girl. Maybe that is why I do so WELL in the relationship department.
Like always, I am definatly working on a "big" project right now and if it goes well then you will know because life would be sweet. I need a month or so to finish it, but the final project should be very interesting and I think it is a good learning project and also I think it will bring closure to my past life of living in CA. What could it be? Stay tuned...
