Cada Dia es un Dia Nueva

Last weekend I went to Steve Ewing formerly from the Urge and 311 concert in good ole Springtown MO. I have not been introduced to 311 before and I went to their show it was Amazing! They have such an independant sound, hard to fall into one catagory. Anyway, after a plethra of bottomless beers I look into the crowd of loyal fans rocking out and listen to "Down" when I realized that 311 is on the same level with me as the Red Hot Chili Peppers. All the Pop shit that is played on the radio is all super dubed and the same. 311, RHCP, Steve Ewing, and even Dave all are bands that have established and seperated themselves as different, but great music. Interestingly enough 311 got started really (so I hear) by going to a RHCP show. Not too bad at all.

My last entry was about positivity especially in such a negative world and 311 is really positive music, not about killing or hating yourself, but about living. They are very rad. Life is about doing things with the people you love. In my year absent from college I have had to do alot of real-world learning and one of the things that I have concluded is that, it doesn't matter where you live to be happy, it is who you surround yourself with and what you do with your time that is the true root of happiness. After my recent stay in LA, I realized that it will always be a great place for me to visit and maybe go to school for a few years but never a place for me to stay. I am sure after a few more adventures I will figure all the rest of that stuff out...as for now all is well.
