I have decided that my time in Missouri needs to come to an end, and it is not in the near near future but it is approaching in the next few months. I have a few friends that have been living in a coastal tourist town in Costa Rica that have invited me to stay with them for a few months whenever I get into gear and get over there. They also mentioned that there was only one surf photographer in that area and it might be possible to get on taking surf pictures; either way freelance is a definate option. Anyway, the first step of course is look up tickets...$330.00 not too bad to go International. I told my boss at work that I would give her a year but I think that year might be cut down to ten months...lo siento! There comes a time when you decide that you can't please everyone and you have to do something for yourself...for me this time is soon. I need this, I need this to stay alive. I've been drowing here in Missouri, I'm far too adventurous to work 40 hours a week at a job that has so many rules and regulations. It is time to get back to the rules of the road, to the rules of travel, now I can abide by those.
Today I bought wood and nylon, and nails to make a 6ft by 4ft stretcher bar...a canvas for the non-artist out there. The purpose to paint! It is going to be hard to apply to grad school if I don't get in gear and get off my ass and start creating! I've started putting my studio together again and until the rents get that building sold or get it rented out it is mine. I've got a few months to get in gear and get my portfolio ready, so as I say, "go big or go home".
Peace and Love
