I went to Pointfest in St. Louis this weekend with Adam, and my friend Cassie and Mark...it was very cool! (The pic to the left I really like- that and I am a real wierd-o) There were like 30 bands there and I think we went a bit early because by the time the main bands went on we were old ladies ready to retire- but we prevailed and seeing The Used (which shame on the crowd for not supporting them), Taking Back Sunday, Sick Puppies, Chevelle (rocked my ass off), and The Offspring! The crazy thing about the Offspring is that they have been around forever! My brother has a tour shirt from 96', they maybe a bit old-but they are well-seasoned and totally have a great chemistry with each other. This summer me and my small crew have big plans for some RAD concerts: Mile High Music Festival (ultra Vez) with Ben Harper and the Relentless 7, Incubus, and Tool. Let's not forget Dave Matthews Band at the Gorge! Yes, I will be completely broke and have to hitch hike home, but being young and having fun with cool people and rocking out is completely worth it...True Story!
As for Adam and I, we had a great weekend! Seeing each other more has made a great deal of difference. I think we forgot how much we do get along together and what a good time that we can have together! He's defiantly a cool cat, and believe it or not three weeks and we approach the two year mark, whoa! Also, random but just saying I shaved Jack (my dog) again today and left him a strip of hair along his back, he's got a dog Mohawk! My mother suggested blue hair for him but don't think so! But, he looks pretty cool! For y'all that don't know Jack he is my almost three year old mutt- a mix of rot, blue healer, and lab- I like him...
On other lines, I keep missing fed-ex and they have my cards for the show which I need! Hopefully the show should be pretty rad and if people do come they can't complain too much because of the free booze! The cool part about this show is that people can actually afford to buy some of the art. Even if a photograph on the wall is a bit pricey- one can buy a print! I am also considering printing t-shirts to be sold but still in deliberation stage! So tomorrow and this week I need to be an advertising fool!
so for now, I leave you with a quote (which for some reason I love and it has really not too much to do with my post but who cares) from Anthony Kiedies, "One of the techniques they teach you to get rid of a resentment toward somebody is to pray for him or her to get everything that you want for yourself in life- to be loved, to be successful, to be healthy, to be rich, to be wonderful, to be happy, to be alive with the light and love of the universe. It's a paradox, but it works. You sit there and pray for the person that you can't stand to get everything on earth that you want for yourself, and one day you're like 'I don't feel anything bad toward this person'".
Anyway, Peace and Much Love,
-Jeannine-
