pancakes and a whole lot of life!

Tomorrow me and Cassie are flying to Seattle to go to Quincy Washington to go to see Dave and I am def pretty excited! I moved up to Springfield with Cassie and it is nice not to have to drive 150 miles a day round trip! Anyway, I shot some killer pics last weekend and spent alot of the week editing (not doing actual homework). All in all they turned out better than I expected and it really made me think that I can start considering myself a photographer- which is super sick!

I was thinking as I was driving tonight that before I thought being an art major at Pepperdine kind of let me to a dead end road but these past few months have made me realize that I ended up exactly where I need to be and if it were not for a series of events that have happened in my life I may not have ended up at the place that I feel I was meant to be at...if that makes any sense. I found that ART is everywhere and in everything I do and in EVERYTHING that I see- it's truley beautiful! I decided that I may not need to teach art because I am an active artist and I can incorporate it in all aspects of my teaching. I have a job that directly relates to what I am getting my Masters in and it is something that makes me stressed at times but I truley think it is awesome! I get to shoot pictures and I am finally getting paid to do so- what's best is that I am shooting pictures and getting to be as artistic as I want and I love it! I must say it has been a long road but I don't feel so lost in the world anymore... I said it to a friend tonight- in life do what YOU want to do and be what YOU want to be! It may not lead to great riches but it will be very filling!

I listened to a CD tonight that a friend loaned me and the gist of it all is about this crazy guys life and he gives so many reasons why life sucks but the ending of the song was prettty cool because he talks about if you weren't around you would miss all the great things in life like: pancakes, cheesburgers, first kisses, sunsets, long drives, road trips, long summer nights, beer, taking photographs, first loves, wine, long talks, books, watching movies and ALL the amazing things in life.

All I can say is that I feel blessed...

Peace, Lots of Love, and Rock N' Roll
