Christmas vacation-- those two words ring in everyones ear musically (well to those that get a Christmas vacation). Its been awhile since I have had a holiday off, but now three weeks. I mean it is not all fun and games, I do need to get my classroom in order and finish my unit plan which is well on its way to getting a good start. My unit is based off "imagination" with that in mind going to start with the book, "Where the Wild Things Are".
This past weekend, I was in hopes of going snorkeling but the rain gods decided to intervene and it poured the whole weekend. However, to be upset would be silly because I have a few more months and a few more weekends. Besides this is Samoa and it rains.
In the next week or so we will be moving into our apartment, with that said I am going to bring out the ole' longboard. I think I may be the only person on the island with one, so I am sure I will be having an entourage of Samoan children wanting to go for rides =)
