As a teacher of Pacific Horizons, I was given a MacBook to do teacherly duties so as my first call of duty I choose to demonstrate my Photo Booth skills (picture to the right) and I must say Andy Warhol would be proud.Secondly, I went snorkeling yesterday at Airport Beach, it was a decent hike out there but once there I put on my snorkeling garb and ready to hit the underwater world. At first, I merely just stuck my head underwater and having never been snorkeling before the sight terrified me, I mean I have never seen such a terrifying but beautiful sight. I felt as if in a fish tank the size of the ocean, ha ha pardon my terrible humor. I saw fish that are generally in exotic fish tanks swimming up to my leaky goggles. Then I saw that same fish only on steroids and the size of a cat and coral reef the size of the Volvo. Never having seen anything like it, I was very intrigued and frightened. I managed to swim out about ten feet with one flipper. Yes, one because my left foot couldn't have a flipper due to the quarter size blister on my heel from running so often. After, going out about ten feet with only my right flipper, I would panic and have to return to home based for fear the coral reef drag me under and zombies living in the coral reef might attack me. Apparently, I watch way too many horror flicks. After that adventure, I immediately wanted to do it again and use both fins, so that is my mission. I purchased a cheap underwater camera and next time will make my dad go with me so he can be equally terrified.
