Flying by the Seat of My Pants

Hello all, Thought I would drop a few lines on here as it has been awhile. So far, especially in the past couple months, I have begun to LOVE LA. I think for some of the reasons I love it, may also be some of the reason of hate. So interesting to see the people, from homeless, hipsters, super rich, weirdos, typical, everyone in one place. One can run amuck in the streets of West Hollywood and no one cares. On Halloween I saw around 100, 000 people in the streets, dressed up as the strangest things...life felt free, I felt free. The night endless and the only set back was the mere thought of going to work in the am--but one can only let that bother them so much. I love the Rawness of LA and I want to capture that in images for the weeks, months to come. It is a very dirty, real, fake, raw, beautiful, dirty, scary, crowded, open place...all within one city. A city that has taken me 8 years to truely appriciate in this way. Also, well I can not help to be in love with the fact that I am in the HUB of music, every great band, local band perfroms in LA.

Where else can you decide in the middle of a Saturday that you want to bon fire, drive a couple minutes on the freeway (stop and grab a couple...) and head to the beach at night start a fire, run naked into, and dive into the cold Pacific Ocean...just to warm yourself by the fire. Life is not always about being crazy, but it is about LIVIN'. If living is seeing your beautiful children everyday that that is how you LIVE, but each day, we should Live how we want to. Live to be great, beautiful, loving, and ever growing people. Vive la Vida siempre.

Admist my crazyness, I had the opportunity to see my two nieces in Missouri, Emma who is 3.5, and addy who is 5 months old. I had so much fun with them...babies are not babes forever so I am trying to se them as often as I can. I also had the chance to see some very significant people in my life. With Janay we had a chance to reconnect, with Marissa a chance to be crazy and dance to 80s music with my green Converse, Zombie Thriller style. Just always hope I can always see my family and friends, and travel...and ALWAYS fly by the seat of my pants and live life to the fullest.

VIVE LA VIDA

Los Angeles is a multicultural city, everyone gives a little piece of their culture and thats what makes the city unique. Like from Chinatown to Plazita Overa. Their is so much to see and to learn from the streets. I was raised in Los Angeles, Figueroa and Vernon near USC, if you ever have a chance drop by and the parking lot across the track field their you take the stairs and when you get to the top you will see the perfect view of downtown la Miss the taco guy. The loud music. The shootings at 3am. Public schools of La are different and you will see so many crazy stuff, but you can always capture a great Kodak moment. Exploring and seeing la with different point of view makes it easier to fall in love with the city. But for me the downside is how dirty it is!.
